This Filson Safari Cloth Guide Shirt Khaki reintroduces a classic fabric from Filson's archives dating back to the 1980s. The fabric is made from Safari Cloth, a durable cotton canvas known for its exceptionally tight weave. Originally, the fabric was used in safari jackets because it repels insects very well. It is designed to resist abrasion and is almost impervious to wind, making it exceptionally durable and offering great protection. The Safari Shirt has the same silhouette as Filson's iconic Alaskan Guide Shirt that’s been a go-to, trusted favorite of ranchers, guides and bush pilots since 1996.

The fabric starts out a bit stiff and will soften with wear and washings. The tight weave provides excellent durability and allows debris such as sawdust and wood chips to brush off with ease.
